PLANNING
Before you begin designing your new kitchen, know what is important
to you: price, space, construction, finish, etc. In order to assist
you with the planning process, fill out our Kitchen
Planner prior to meeting with us.
|
 |
 |
SELECTIONS
You will be asked to make many selections for your new kitchen. Once
you have completed our Kitchen Planner, contact one of our designers
to schedule an appointment. Our designer can help you answer any questions
you may have on the Kitchen Planner. In order to design your kitchen,
we will need specifications of all appliances, sinks, faucets and other
items around which the cabinetry will be installed.

REMODELING
Ask your Sterling designer for one of our preferred contractors. During
the remodeling process, you will be without a working kitchen for a
period of time. The amount of time depends on the nature of the job
and should be communicated by your contractor.

FIELD MEASURE
Once your walls are framed, prior to ordering your product, your Sterling
designer will measure the space to ensure it meets the specifications
on which your design is based. This is a service we provide to our customers
to prevent costly changes after product has been ordered and delivered.
|
 |
 |
 |
ORDER
As part of our focus on service, Sterling's experienced Sales Support
staff will review your order prior to placing it with our vendor. Orders
are reviewed to verify that all required information is included and
to ensure the design does not pose any potential installation issues.
|
 |
 |
DELIVERY
Sterling will deliver the cabinets to you on the date requested at the
time of order. If you did not schedule a delivery date, Sterling will
contact you to schedule delivery once we receive your product.
|
 |
 |
INSTALLATION
Sterling or your contractor will install the cabinetry once the space
is free and clear and all structural changes in the space are complete.
Countertops are then installed if they do not require template. All
solid surface tops, granite tops and certain laminated tops with more
complex designs require a template to ensure proper fit. Countertops
are templated once the cabinetry is installed. Certain materials are
required at time of template:
- Sink and faucets
- Cooktop
- Sink template (normally included in the box in which the sink is
shipped)
Countertops are installed 7 to 10 business days following templating
(normal lead times; subject to change without notice). Your dishwasher
must be installed prior to countertop installation.
|
 |
 |
JOB COMPLETION
Sterling will provide replacement parts that are deemed damaged or unacceptable
according to the manufacturer's warranty. This does not include damage due to
abuse, neglect, or misuse. (Ask your designer for a copy of the manufacturer's
warranty if you have any questions.)
|
 |
 |
PAYMENT
A deposit of 50% is required in advance of placing your order. If you
are paying Sterling to install your product, 40% is due upon receipt
of your product and the balance is due upon substantial completion of
installation of product. If you are not paying Sterling to install your
product, the remaining 50% is due upon receipt of your product.
